Cypress trees and the blue sky above reflect in a slough as an alligator basks in the afternoon sun in the Florida Everglades.

Fabulous scene, Ron. 🙂
Thanks Ad. How is the remodeling coming?
It’s coming together very nicely. Granite counter tops being installed on Tuesday. 🙂
how can an image of an alligator appear so peaceful?!!! so much is great about this one. i especially like the clear water and the splashes of pure blue!
Thanks Z. You do have an artist’s eye. The gator was soaking up rays while dozing.
While casting for catfish one lazy summer day in Louisiana, I was startled by an alligator that seemed to race across the water in pursuit of the fish i was reeling back to the bank! I didn’t want to lose my rod and reel, and i certainly didn’t want a close encounter with a gator, so i ran up the hill with the catfish dragging behind me and the gator after the catfish! a friend who was watching commented, ‘you and your husband are both nuts!’
until that moment, i never realized how fast a gator could move!
Wow! Now i see it! 🙂
And you thought it was just trees and water. 🙂
Wow, I was so amazed when I saw the alligator there!
I am never there without seeing several. As always, thank you for visiting Laurie.
Oh what a joy it is to see Ron Mayhew Photography in my “In Box”. Thanks Ron!
Harold, I can not tell you how much your comment means to me. Thank you, my friend.
This is another beautiful shot… finally catching up. 🙂
Thank you. I understand the “catching up” part completely.
