A Tribute to the Women of the World in Pictures

I travel in order to photograph where I have been and, conversely, photography is my reason to travel. But photographing the people I encounter along the way is the most rewarding. Making informal portraits. The more I travel and the more images I make the more I realize how similar we all are. We want the same things for ourselves, our families, for our world.

This morning in her Travel Theme post, Ailsa reminded us that today is International Women’s Day. This is my tribute in pictures of some of the women I have met along the way. Some I know quite well, some I miss dearly, and some I scarcely know. But they are all beautiful.

Watch in Full Screen for best viewing.
